Leandro Pellegrino

Guitarist, Dario Boente Trio

Leandro Pellegrino is a Brazilian-born guitarist acclaimed for his dynamic style and mastery of jazz and improvised music. A native of São Paulo, he studied music composition and jazz from a young age, eventually earning a full scholarship to Berklee College of Music. Since moving to the U.S. in 2011, Leandro has performed with jazz greats like Dave Liebman, Dianne Reeves, Terri Lyne Carrington, and John Patitucci, and contributed to the Grammy-winning album Beautiful Life by Dianne Reeves. 

In 2013, he won 1st prize at the Montreux Jazz Guitar Competition—becoming the first South American guitarist to do so—and returned the following year to perform at the Montreux Jazz Festival. Leandro is endorsed by Benedetto Guitars and is currently working on his debut album.
