Each studio is designed with superior acoustics and features a full backline setup, including drums, amplifiers, keyboards, and vocal systems, allowing artists to walk in and start playing immediately. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and built to handle everything from solo practice sessions to full band rehearsals and live run-throughs. Amenities such as air conditioning, natural light, wood floors, and full-length mirrors create an environment that is both functional and inspiring.

Our mission is to teach students of all ages the beauty and transformative power of the performing arts. A key element of that mission is to continue to be an affordable space for local musicians to practice their craft. Our landmarked, double brownstone home features 14 studios with beautiful Steinway and Yamaha pianos (both grands and uprights), large windows, and double doors for maximum sound protection. Our school is conveniently located near two major MTA subway stops: Christopher St. (1) and the West 4th St. (A, B, C, D, & M). Please note that GHMS is not ADA accessible.

Rehearsal studios are equipped with at least two guitar amplifiers, a bass rig, 5-piece drum kit, an upright piano, and microphones through a professional PA system.

58 7th Ave., Brooklyn, NY 11217Book NowThe Brooklyn Conservatory of Music, located in Park Slope, offers 17 rehearsal studios through its Studio Collective program, each equipped with a Steinway piano. During New York Music Month, musicians rehearse for free, thanks to support from the Mayor's Office of Media and Entertainment.
Join the Studio Collective and gain access to all 17 studios: bright, fully equipped spaces with music stands, chairs, and pianos, ideal for practice, composing, and songwriting. (Note: drums and PA equipment aren't available.)
The Studio Collective is more than rehearsal space. It's a creative hub where artists connect, share work, and build community through regular Song Shares and networking events throughout the year. See you in the studio!
