Martha Wade Steketee

Martha Wade Steketee is a theater-loving public policy researcher who currently practices in the fields of dramaturgy, criticism, and theater research. She is the Chair of the Drama Desk nominating committee, and serves on several playwright prize committees, the Henry Hewes Design Award committee, and as dramaturg to playwrights developing new works. Her interest in theater design led her to co-found Chance Magazine (2012-2018) that “looks at the world through the lens of theater and design.” 

She is a past chair of the American Theatre Critics/Journalists Association and current President of Foundation ATCA. Steketee is the author of the Women Count report series ]https://urbanexcavations.com/women-count-report-series/] that has analyzed Off-Broadway playwright, director, designer, stage management hiring trends since 2014.
