Ron 'Mills' Triana

Ronnie Triana serves as Associate Director of Hip Hop programming on SiriusXM, spearheading music content and programming across a variety of hip hop channels including Hip-Hop Nation and Eminem’s Shade 45.
Additionally, he is also the Program Director and liaison for SiriusXM’s SoundCloud Radio partnership, a channel dedicated to the biggest hip hop tracks driving the music culture of today. From classic tracks to songs by breakout artists, SoundCloud Radio launched on SiriusXM in September of 2021 as the newest hip hop channel dedicated to trailblazing artists.
Over the past years, Ronnie has helped dozens of artists break new tracks across a variety of SXM channels, and regularly champions new and emerging artists like Latto, Morray, Tommy Richman, BigXThaPlug, GloRilla, Babyface Ray, and Ice Spice. He first joined SiriusXM in 2001 as well as being the only Hip Hop programmer in the United States on the Mediabase Urban panel who is of Latin background.
He has spearheaded programming and several key moments in our culture, Ronnie oversaw original specialty programming that included:
“Black Music Matters” - a one-hour mix of music from artists that have brought awareness to Black culture.
“Founding Fathers of Hip-Hop Tribute” - featuring guest DJ’s like Cardi B. & Queen Latifah playing music from the forefathers of Hip-Hop that paved the way for the new generation.
He was charged with oversight of SiriusXM’s Small Stage Series featuring live performances with J. Cole and 2 Chainz, as well as securing an exclusive interview with Eminem for SXM’s Shade 45, in advance of the Super Bowl Halftime Show.
2022 - 2025 breakout artists that started with Ron have been Sleazyworld Go, Ivory White, Ice Spice, BigXThaPlug, Tommy Richman, Domani, and more. All have been great success stories with support from SiriusXM Hip-Hop Nation and Pandora partnership programming.
Ron has also been included and noted in the yearly Billboard Hip-Hop and R&B Power Players since 2017 to present consecutively.
