BeyonDaFence Enterprise was founded on the belief that purpose can be built from pain. Founder David Benton created the label after serving 13 years in the federal prison system. Once he was no longer behind the fence, he became determined to bring that same passion, resilience, and energy to the world outside of it — inspiring the name BeyonDaFence Enterprise.
Alongside CEO Shay Samuels, the label has become a movement of transformation and hope. Shay overcame the stereotypes of becoming a young mother at 16 and rose to become an inspirational voice impacting women and men across the globe through music, leadership, and empowerment.
