Bob Celestin

After graduating from Yale University and Columbia Law School, I began my career as a corporate attorney at Kaye, Scholer, Fierman, Hays and Handler. I later transitioned into the music industry, joining Arista Records’ legal department before becoming VP/General Manager of Uptown Records, home to icons like Diddy, Mary J. Blige, Jodeci, and Heavy D & the Boyz. I then served in the same role at Untouchables Entertainment, working with Donell Jones, Intro, and Pete Rock & CL Smooth.

Following this, I practiced law alongside Louise West, Esq., representing major artists including Timbaland, Missy Elliott, and Ginuwine. In 2000, I launched my solo entertainment law practice, representing artists such as Petey Pablo, 3LW, City High (whom I also co-managed), Secondhand Serenade, and Big Daddy Kane, along with top DJs and reality TV personalities from shows like America’s Next Top Model and Love & Hip Hop Atlanta.

Through my company, Intelligent Music, I develop, manage, and produce artists in the R&B, Hip-Hop, and Latin genres, including releases by Enemigo (Univision Music) and NGP. I specialize in legal counsel, contract negotiation, and strategic consulting across music, film, and television.
