Dario Boente

Argentine-born and based in New York City for more than 25 years, Dario Boente is a Grammy and Latin Grammy Award–winning pianist, composer, and producer whose music moves fluidly between contemporary jazz, electronic music, Latin rhythms, and world music. A longtime presence in the New York music scene, Boente has developed a distinctive artistic voice that blends the spontaneity of jazz improvisation with modern production, acoustic piano, synthesizers, and global influences.

Shaped by his Argentine and Spanish roots, Boente’s musical language draws from flamenco, R&B, Latin jazz, and contemporary groove-based music. After studying at Berklee College of Music, Guildhall School of Music in London, and The New School in New York, he built an international career performing and recording with acclaimed artists including Rubén Blades, Antonio Sánchez, Randy Brecker, Louie Vega, Miguel Zenón, Ronny Jordan, Fernando Otero, and Grégoire Maret.

Boente has released ten albums and compilations as a leader and has performed in more than 22 countries worldwide. His work also includes film scoring, most notably co-composing the soundtrack for the British feature film The Hippopotamus alongside Oscar-winning drummer and composer Antonio Sánchez. His latest solo release, Habibi Mon Amour (2024), continues his exploration of a sophisticated and genre-defying musical aesthetic.
