David Hua

David Hua is a Vice President at Creator Partners, a holding company focused on investing in and building enduring businesses in music, media, and the technology powering global creative industries. Founded by Kerry Trainor (former CEO of SoundCloud and Vimeo), Creator Partners has built a portfolio including BMI, Reverb, SoundCloud, Colors Studios, MOGUL, and Bending Spoons, among others. 

Before joining Creator Partners, David was a private equity investor at KKR, where he focused on media, including platform investments in Superstruct Entertainment and Simon & Schuster. He started his career in M&A at PJT Partners. David is an active angel investor across music, live entertainment, and sports, as well as a DJ and music producer in his free time. 

David holds a B.S. in Economics from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
