Gaurav Sharma
Gaurav Sharma is the Founder and CEO of Hook, the AI music app that lets fans create authorized remixes of popular songs for social media while automatically compensating rights holders.
Before Hook, Sharma was Chief Operating Officer of JioSaavn, India's largest music streaming platform. He helped secure global streaming licenses with major record labels and grew the platform to more than 100 million active monthly users, making JioSaavn one of the first streaming services outside the West to successfully license music at scale.
He built Hook because the music industry had the same unsolved problem it always has: fans create, labels lose control, and nobody gets paid. Hook fixes the infrastructure that makes fan creativity work for everyone in the chain.
Sharma holds degrees from Johns Hopkins University and The Peabody Conservatory. He knows how the business works and he knows how music works, which is why Hook is one of the few AI music companies the labels want at the table.
