The Mechanical Licensing Collective (The MLC)Jamie Dominguez is the National Director of Industry Relations at The Mechanical Licensing Collective (The MLC), where she builds partnerships with music creators, publishers, attorneys, business managers, and industry organizations. With more than 25 years of experience in rights management, publishing, artist development, and music education, she leads outreach initiatives and advocates for a more transparent and equitable music industry.
Originally from Austin, Jamie earned a degree in Journalism and Mass Communication from The University of Texas at Austin before moving to New York City to join SESAC. During her 19-year tenure as Senior Director of Creative Services, she supported and developed a diverse roster of songwriters and creators. In 2020, she joined Sound Royalties, helping launch its New York presence and empowering artists through financial education.
Jamie is also a dedicated educator and mentor, teaching in the graduate program at BerkleeNYC. She currently serves her third term as a Governor of the New York Chapter of The Recording Academy and co-chairs its DEI task force.
