Juancho Herrera
Latin Grammy nominated producer, singer-songwriter, Juancho Herrera is part of a wave of Latin American artists who have reshaped New York’s music landscape in recent decades. With five albums to his name, he has forged a distinctive artistic voice, blending jazz with the rich musical traditions of South America.
A Berklee College of Music graduate, Herrera has been a key collaborator for some of today’s most compelling figures in jazz and world music, including Claudia Acuña, Marta Gomez, and Lila Downs.
He has performed and recorded in 41 countries, appearing on stages such as Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center, Teatro Pablo Tobón, and Centro Cultural BOD. His work includes collaborations with icons like Mercedes Sosa, The Chieftains, Branford Marsalis, Ryuichi Sakamoto, Arturo O’Farrill, and Idan Raichel.
As an educator, Herrera has taught master classes at many prestigious institutions including the Clive Davis Institute, where he is currently on faculty.
