Kaya Noir
Vocalist
Kaya Noir is a New York–based vocalist whose journey began in a small Siberian town, singing in the choir of an Orthodox church. Music became her first connection to freedom, creativity, and the courage to dream bigger.
She began her professional training as a conductor before studying opera in Saint Petersburg and Moscow. Though deeply inspired by classical music, Kaya was always searching for a more personal and expressive sound. That search eventually brought her to Bali, Indonesia, where performing with Indonesian street musicians & cover band brought her to first jazz standards, first collaborations with international composers and French entertainment company.
That’s helped shape her artistic identity.
Her next step was New York City — the city she saw as the home of jazz and artistic reinvention. Studying with Jeremiah Abiah inspired her to experiment fearlessly, blending opera and jazz while moving naturally between Russian and English influences.
