The Acute

Formed in 2017, The Acute are a New York City duo blending raw rock, post-punk and no/new wave with whatever sounds good with a strong focus on poetic, meaningful lyrics. They channel influences from the Fall, Talk Talk, Can, Fanny, Gil Scott Heron, Velvet Underground, My Bloody Valentine, and many more. Known for visceral live shows, they released their 2nd album RONGORONGO in March 2025 and have album number 3 in the works for 2026.
