Join Mehmet Dede, talent buyer at Drom and author of “Make It Live: The Handbook for Getting Gigs” for this 3-hour intensive to learn how live music works including the booking, planning and marketing processes.

Some of the things you’ll learn in this masterclass include:

• How to get booked into clubs
• How much to get paid for gigs
• How to promote your concerts
• The do’s and don’ts of playing venues

In addition to the in-person workshop, participants will have access to instructional videos ahead of the masterclass and meet their cohort online to start networking. Those interested will also present their 30-second elevator pitches and receive feedback.

Guest artist and drummer Scott Kettner will join the session for a Q&A and share his experience as a member of New York’s independent music community.
