Clayton Durant is the founder of CAD Management, a music and entertainment consulting firm he launched in 2016. The firm represents both artists and brands, offering end-to-end services across artist development, brand marketing, and creative strategy. Over the years, Clayton has led numerous high-impact partnerships, including brokering an A&R deal with SoundCloud’s artist services division, Repost—becoming one of the platform’s first joint venture partners.

In addition to his work at CAD, Clayton serves as an Adjunct Professor of Music Business at both New York University’s Steinhardt Music Business Program and Long Island University’s Roc Nation School of Music, Sports & Entertainment. He teaches courses on artist management, music entrepreneurship, and the structure of the music industry, equipping students with the tools and insights needed to navigate today’s rapidly evolving music business.

He holds a BA in Public Relations and Marketing from Roger Williams University and an MA in Music Business from New York University.
