Genji Siraisi is a Grammy-nominated musician, composer, producer, and Executive Director of the Museum of Music & Entertainment in New York City (MOMENT NYC), which is dedicated to preserving the city’s musical diversity through exhibits, education, and performance. He has produced events at the NYPL for the Performing Arts, the Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery, Fordham University, and venues throughout NYC with support from NYC Department of Cultural Affairs, NYSCA, NYHumanities, and other cultural organizations. In partnership with Henry Street Settlement, he brings after-school music programs to underserved students on the Lower East Side. A founding member of the NYC band Groove Collective, Genji has decades of experience in live and studio production, touring, and arts advocacy. He has produced and recorded for Warner Bros., Universal, Sony, Virgin, and Geffen, and performed internationally at festivals and venues including Montreux, Newport, Red Rocks, Fuji, Central Park SummerStage, and Celebrate Brooklyn. As a drummer, he has performed and recorded with artists including Tupac, Curtis Mayfield, Joe Sample, Chucho Valdés, Pharcyde, Digable Planets, and Sugar Hill Gang.
