Rithik Kundu

Rithik is a Managing Partner at Joker Deck Ventures, a venture fund and angel syndicate focused on emerging music technology at the pre-seed stages, and Co-Founder of NYU Generative Audio & AI, an interdisciplinary research group empowering non-technical creators to enter the AI music space. He recently conducted The Future of Music Production: Is AI Taking Over?, a blind listener study between AI and human music advised by GRAMMY winner Mr. Sonic and presented at Sony’s Technology Conference. He also co-authored Building a Simple AI DAW Part 2: MCP and Agents, a technical paper exploring creative AI with Udio, Abbey Road Red, Masterchannel, and Mozart AI. Rithik advises various organizations on AI in the music tech space, including the PhD Lab It-Jim, and serves on the International Sound Awards jury. He’s presented his work as a speaker or moderator at conferences such as NAMM, Mondo, and MusicTech Europe, and has been interviewed by the Economist, Audio Product Academy, and Washington Square News on his perspective around using AI in music production. As “RKY”, he’s scored award-winning films, musicals, and collaborated with a major label A&R. He also engineered the Tiny Desk Submission for the GRAMMY U-accepted band The Millers.
